cake dominated the weekend
seems the weather here is slowly adapt to the season. After all, we had a week now since no more snow, something I already have a great success. Last night I was allowed me the first spring thunderstorm over New York from our sofa look. Herrlich. Was correct although it is still cold but not maybe not.
Saturday I used the weather then to talk to the kids in the afternoon to go for two hours on the playground. Because yes, I had to work. 11 hours Saturday night because my host parents are gone .. Thus, the playground was a good choice to get as much time around. Tired
arrived home it was not on the couch for a nap to keep, no, no. The child is supposed to finally get really tired in the evening to sleep well when I'm alone with her. So was inked. Handprints and rainbows. The
Parents then have to leave me at about seven and I've tried to get the girl to bed somehow. Unfortunately, they knew that Alicia and Wiebke come over and wanted to stay awake to tinker with them. Yeah yeah. At some point you are but then dropped his eyes and with pizza, M & M's and DVD Ner we have then made the three of us comfortably. The evening lasted well up at half past four. But it was nice to be on Saturday evening, but must not sit around all alone on the couch.
Sunday was then at Joey's birthday party. The small has become one on Friday and that must be celebrated. There were nibbles and how it should be different ... cake. Typical American when you ask me. Viiiiiel with sweet frosting and just mega big.
Friday night I was overcome with the desire for cake. But not on any cake. That would have been too easy. As we quickly ran over to the supermarket and gets one. But no. Many hours from the haunting of Cheescake Cheescake Factory around in my head. I'm usually not a particular fan of cheese cake but that's just ... Wow!. Yes. Mama, I'll definitely take me there with. At some point, at half past nine I've made it but still in pajamas on the way to Tammy and me there to get a piece each. But I was also one and a half hours on the way .... But hey, it was worth it. Tiramisu Cheescake is simply awesome.
Today, just as usual Monday for the little ballet and Kung Fu for me on the evening. Then the day would be gone. And there are only 1.5 week until Mom finally comes.
Luckily, the logistical problem with the pick up from the airport now been resolved. The little girl will be not there, but go with Grandma and Grandpa to the aunt to Maryland in order Passover, to celebrate a kind of Jewish Easter. From Tuesday to Thursday it will be gone and I can therefore safely go on Wednesday to pick up mom. This is great.
And I hope that I finally come tonight to my pictures, the rumschlummern still on the PC to upload. Let's see, let yourself be surprised.
